What is Speak It Up?
Speak It Up is a social enterprise focused on encouraging mental health conversation within the community of the Nelson Tasman Region. We are a student-run Social Enterprise group from Nelson College, partaking in the Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme. Our goal is to hold events throughout the year that are accessible to our local community of the Nelson Tasman Region.
Lets Talk About it!
We realise that a lot of mental health problems go unnoticed and unspoken, eventually leading to the worsening of one's mental state. We would like to change this culture and do something about these individuals who are feeling “invisible”. Our mission is to encourage and promote the normalisation of mental health conversation, by raising awareness and providing encouragement and information to the wider community of the Nelson Tasman Region.
